Weight Watchers

Stress-filled lives, hectic work schedules, irregular food habits- no wonder people start piling on the pounds as youth makes way for middle age and all its accompanying problems. When bulges start appearing, there is a sense of disbelief: Everyone thinks- ‘I run around so much, why’s this happening to me?’ The importance of proper diet and exercise strike home only then. Then begin the endless trial and error diet plans, everyone promising a younger you, a slimmer you and a more energetic you!! But as weeks roll by into months and months into years, you find that somewhere along the way, the pounds have piled on again, with a vengeance. When that happens, don’t despair. Turn to the weight watchers club. This is a group of women who started a weight loss program, at their regular meetings with one another at their homes. What initially was a routine discussion about weight and the problems that come along with it, took a different turn altogether when each spoke about her own experience with piling on weight, and the steps she was taking to control it. With new inputs from everyone, a new idea began to take shape. What if the steps each one was taking and proving to be beneficial, were all compiled together to make a comprehensive program to help people lose weight? Thus, the weight watchers online group that is guiding millions to lose weight was born about 40 years back.
